Dear Sir/Madam,
I am very interested in the position of Apprentice Heavy Vehicle Motor Mechanic you currently have available. My customer service and current work experience, my attitude and communication skills and my commitment to safety make me a strong candidate for this position.

• Customer Service & Work Experience: I have successfully completed one week work/experience to gain knowledge and preparation to apply for employment as a 1st year Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with Quinlans Truck and Trailer Repairs from the 3rd-7th February 2014 (1 week). I completed mechanical workload including, change air filters, brakes on trailers and prime movers, clean wheel bearings, oil changes, assist in the diagnosis & repair of earthmoving equipment and heavy vehicles. Hand fitting or machining processes to replace or repair faulty parts.
I am currently working in a casual position at McDonalds Restaurant in Mt Annan. My responsibilities include general cleaning of the kitchen, cooking and communicating with customers and fellow staff. I have completed two work experience training days this year with the Department of Defence at Williamtown and Richmond RAAF Base respectively, and I have worked casually alongside my father the last year, operating assorted power tools and assisting within his construction business.
• Attitude & Communication Skills: I am a flexible team member who always completes the tasks given to me within the timeframe my employer has requested, and my calm approach and ability to converse with any personality type demonstrates my high level of communication skills.

• Multi-Tasking: My competency in handling long work hours, varied shifts and a broad range of responsibilities can be demonstrated by my present role at McDonalds Restaurants.

• Commitment to Safety: In addition to holding a current NSW White Card, I demonstrate a strong commitment to safety when I adhere to OH&S policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment at all times within the McDonalds kitchen area.
