Finance Branch
The Finance Branch provides timely financial information, analysis and advice to all levels of the Royal Australian Mint (Mint) management, particularly in the areas of budgeting, contract management, product costing, inventory control, variance analysis and reporting.
The Branch?s prime functions are to facilitates the integration between core business delivery and the Mint?s expected outcomes as agreed with the Commonwealth and internal corporate plan; and implement control mechanisms for the Mint?s financial business processes.
Individual role within the Team
Under direction, the Accounts Receivable Officer will:
Match payments to relevant outstanding invoices and follow up any unmatched invoices
Reconciles combined accounts receivable subsidiary ledger to generalledger
Reconciles statements with monies received. Answer any queries on payments, internally and externally
Make sure that all money received is banked promptly in compliance with PGPA Act s55
Comply with Mint?s accounts receivable policy and procedures
Inputs daily cash flow details for the Mint
Daily reconciliation of bank accounts, into CODA
Respond to general daily correspondence in relation to accounts receivable queries
Ad Hoc accounting duties for accountants
Data entry with respect to journals
The successful applicant will need to have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the processing and payment of invoices and/or the receipt of payments and management of debtorsaccounts
Demonstrated understanding of financial analysis andreconciliation
Good understanding of Government Legislation and Framework
Demonstrated understanding of financial information systems and Microsoft Excel (or similar spreadsheet software)
